Dulcimerry is a group of mountain dulcimer players who meet at my school for practice. We focus on traditional, modal-style playing. All our music is in DAA (D-Ionian), DAD (D-Mixolydian), DAC (D-Aeolian) and DAG (D-Dorian).* We are happy to share our music! All tunes are public domain, and arranged by me. Check back frequently for more free tablature.

These files are freely shared with the folk music and mountain dulcimer community, for personal and educational use. Individuals and groups may use them for performances. I do NOT give permission for these arrangements to be included in collections for sale, or to be sold in any way. ~ Amy Raab

*A note about modal tunings: Dulcimers do not have to play exclusively in the key of D, but Dulcimerry plays in D so that we don’t have to adjust our strings too much, even as we move between the modes. Most of us own two dulcimers. One is used for DAD and DAC, and the other is used for DAA and DAG. This way, the middle and bass strings remain the same, and the melody string only has to move one step.
